Poem 255 - Watery Visions

Image link here

Happily she dreamed
Nestled in her mother's lap
Last time probably

How was she to know?
That she would be abandoned
By her poor parents

Poor little baby
Her dreams would be shattered; like
the snap of a twig

She starts crying as,
Her mother leaves her; on the
doorstep of a house

Watery visions
As she cries her heart out
Save the girl child please

  6. What a terrible and heartbreaking decision for parents to leave a child to its fate with others rather than poverty and misery with them. Yet it still goes on.

This is too sad, and more so because it does happen. Well done.
